March 11, 2025: Uttar Pradesh’s badminton star, Shruti Mishra, is set to compete in the prestigious All England Open Badminton Championships 2025 in Birmingham, where she will pair up with PriyaKonjengbam in the women’s doubles category. The tournament, one of the most iconic Super 1000 events on the BWF World Tour, kicks off with some of the world’s top shuttlers vying for the coveted title.
Shruti, who has consistently made strides in Indian badminton, was a key member of the Indian women’s team that clinched gold at the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championships. She was also part of India’s Uber Cup squads in 2022 and 2024, showcasing her talent on the global stage.
Her journey in international badminton began with a breakthrough win at the Bulgarian Junior International in 2019. Since then, she has steadily risen through the ranks, achieving runner-up finishes at the 2022 Odisha Open in women’s doubles and the 2023 India International in Bengaluru. A defining moment in her career came when she and PriyaKonjengbam secured the women’s doubles title at the 2023 National Badminton Championships, cementing their place among India’s top pairs.
As Shruti prepares to take on the world’s best at the All England Open, she carries with her the hopes of Indian badminton fans and the unwavering support of her home state, Uttar Pradesh.

The Yonex Sunrise 77th Inter State-Inter Zonal & 86th Senior National Badminton Championships 2024 was organized in Bengaluru, Karnataka, from 18th to 24th December 2024 by the Karnataka Badminton Association.

In this competition, Uttar Pradesh badminton players showcased exceptional performance:
1. In the Mixed Doubles category, Ayush Agarwal and Shruti Mishra clinched the Gold Medal by defeating Rohan Kapoor and J. Ruthvika Shivani with scores of 21-17, 21-18.
2. In the Men’s Doubles category, Arsh Mohammad (Uttar Pradesh) and Sanskar Saraswat (Rajasthan) secured the Gold Medal by overcoming the in a thrilling match, winning with scores of 21-12, 12-21, 21-19.
3. In the Women’s Doubles category, Shruti Mishra (Uttar Pradesh) and Priya (Manipur) earned the Silver Medal after a closely contested match against Artha Sara and Varshini V. S, with scores of 21-18, 20-22, 21-17.
