Rising badminton star Kushagra R. Dwivedi, a promising talent from Lucknow’s BBD Badminton Academy, delivered a stellar performance at the Yonex-Sunrise 1st UP State Sub Junior Badminton Tournament 2025, held in Ghaziabad, bringing home two medals in the Under-13 category.

Kushagra clinched the Gold medal  in Boys Doubles U13, partnering with Shivesh Gupta of Prayagraj where the pair defeated KandarpKhatri and ShardulKhatri 15-21, 21-12, 23-21 , showcasing remarkable synergy and sharp court awareness throughout the tournament. The duo dominated their matches with consistency and aggressive net play, earning praise from coaches and spectators alike.

Adding to his medal tally, Kushagra also secured the Silver medal in the Boys Singles U13 category, demonstrating his all-round talent and resilience as a solo player. His singles run was marked by smart shot selection and exceptional court coverage, highlighting his potential as a future badminton champion.

Kushagra trains at the prestigious BBD Badminton Academy in Lucknow, which has been instrumental in nurturing young badminton talents in Uttar Pradesh. His recent success is a testament to the academy’s focus on discipline, technical training, and competitive exposure.
